Cafés and restaurants offer sunny terraces or fireside comfort, inviting you to relax fully into the mountain atmosphere.
Day 3 — Snowshoeing the Crests with a Mountain Guide
Today you’ll discover postcard-perfect landscapes during a private snowshoe excursion along the Sure ridge. Starting at 9 am, your local mountain guide takes you through serene forests and open viewpoints, sharing insights on geology, wildlife and vegetation.
With a bit of luck, you may spot animal tracks or even wildlife in the snow.
After lunch, enjoy a guided stroll through the village to learn about its history and typical Alpine architecture.
Equipment included: snowshoes, avalanche beacon, shovel and probe.
Day 4 — Pic Blanc & Ice Cave Experience in Alpe d’Huez
Prepare for one of the most breathtaking views in France. The Pic Blanc, rising to 3,330 meters, offers a panorama that stretches over 20% of the country. From the Meije to the Écrins range, from Mont Blanc to Mont Ventoux — the scenery is unforgettable.
Your guide shares the history and development of the resort before leading you to the famous ice cave, a magical world of sculptures carved into snow and ice across a 120-meter gallery.
